Currently one (E). BCM also formerly administered P, and seeks reinstatement. Franchise Agreement allows for up to 2 Ps and 2 Es.

Years of operation?

BCM has operated since 2006. However, public access in Boulder dates back to late 1980s.

Operating budget? Where does the funding come from?

2008 budget is $70,000.00, plus $70,000.00 in pass-through funds for capital expenditures, all for E.

2007 budget (for P and E) was $150,000.00, plus $70,000.00 pass-through.

P/E Funding peaked in approximately 2002, at around $350,000.00 (including pass-through), which amount was designated to predecessor organization for administration of P.

Funding initially came directly from subscriber franchise fees. However, since about 2001, the City has diverted those amounts to the General Fund, and funded P and/or E on an "as-needed" basis.

Main income sources?

Roughly 50% from City funding directly via general fund, and 50% from pass-trhough funds generated by dedicated subscriber fees. BCM seeks ways to supplement its income through production or other opportunities.
